Adi Goldstein - Insulation Dreamscape (Self Release)

Adi Goldstein - 5 Moons

Coming from a long line of musicians, it was perhaps inevitable that Adi Goldstein, with his early jazz, classical and composition schooling, would head in the same direction. The skill set remains the same, but times and payment models are a changing quicker than ever and he's bending with them, gaining good streaming traction and making moves in the world of music for commercials with notable success.

He's also starting the new year how he means to go on with his new LP, 5 Moons having dropped on January 1st. The LP is an ambitious, beautifully arranged, impeccably executed listen, that hovers around the intersection of ambient, classical and cinematic worlds, a perfect combination with which to soundtrack his meditation on human self discovery.

The whole LP is certainly accomplished, if a touch sentimental at times - understandable I guess considering the inspiration, but within its folds is the particularly striking, healing vibration imbued, quite possibly palliative, "Insulation Dreamscape" which immediately leapt out at me. As with the rest of the LP it's a lovingly and consummately constructed tune but this one seems a little less needy, instead relying on its simplicity and purity of purpose. I recommend you start there and whilst you're at it sneak a peak into the cinematic ambience of the full release.
