Adios Ghost have been floating around the New York music scene since 2012 with their throwback, genre flirting indie-dance sound which culminated in their debut album in 2017. And then nothing. Well until last year, when they resurfaced with a couple of great singles continuing their vintage genre fusing mission, but this time around with a tighter, more polished sound - the break and pause for reflection has obviously served them well. With Ben Sigerson on Vocals, guitar and synth, Jimmy Stull on various stringed instruments, Simon Davenport providing the bass and Alexander Loew urging then on with drums, percussion and dabbling with synths, they can definitely deliver a live show.

The latest single is a feel nice slice of disco pop, with a debt to the sparklier sounds of Studio 54 and the sepia saturated, more sequinned synth pop sounds of the 80's. A solid four-four beat and easy funking bassline signals dance-floor intent. Sigerson gives it all the front of the stage flitting between Miami Vice femme fatale cheese and soulful AOR vocal delivery during the track's quieter passages, but the tune mostly urging the crowd higher with it's soaring synth lines and insistent groove. One for the dance-floor divas and unashamed disco queens.
