Antarctic Wastelands x marine eyes - Remaining (Echoes Blue)

The Slow Music Movement

Antarctic Wastelands and marine eyes have both featured extensively on TSMM over the years and I dare say that won't be changing any time soon. Antarctic Wastelands is based in Hong Kong, and is a prolific ambient producer who admirably holds down the quality, despite the quantity. He's also a keen collaborator, exemplified by his forthcoming mini LP where he teams up with a slew of TSMM approved artists from around the world, in this case the ever reliable, welcome source of feminine energy, marine eyes from Los Angeles.

I'm not quite sure who did what on the new single but there is some serious synergy here. Despite the distance and time zone difference, both artists head intuitively into hazy, warm and blissful territory, their contributions melting into, then unhurriedly infusing their individual qualities to the fluid, collaborative soundscape to become so much more than their separate parts and energy sources.

Think post dawn in a secluded valley at the start of a hot summer day, and you won't be far off. Add the track to your hot bath and bubbles at the end of a hard day playlist and look out for the LP.
