Cici Arthur, the nom de plume, used by Joseph Shabason, Chris A. Cummings and Thom Gill are back with their second single, taking us one step nearer February 21st's much anticipated LP.

As you'd expect Chris Cumming's vocals are front and centre, just as they should be. I'd never heard of him before December's, "All So Incredible", but he's now my favourite modern schmaltzmeister by far, his vocals just really have an unusual warmth, approachability and cuddly crooner soulfulness.
As usual he's aided by Joseph Shabason on smooth sax duty and Thom Gill on just about everything else apart from Nicholas Krgovich's drums, and boy do those guys gel. The crew are admirably focussed on bringing the golden age of twentieth century orchestra crooning and silky smooth blue eyed soul into the new millennium, and I'm here for them. With AI blurring the boundaries between art and plagiarism and our once beloved social networks aiding and abetting the post-truth apocalypse, there is an undeniable honesty and welcome artistry to this project, and this new single comes through like a long lost, small press, AOR nugget that changes hands for silly money on Discogs.
