Kaptep is back on Chitra Records and in the blog, this time cast adrift in the ambient universe on a solo mission to soundtrack the never ending low gravity expanses as best he can. The LP is a fine start to finish listen with a distinctly sci-fi vibe throughout, but it was "Static Lullaby" that really jumped out at me.
There's a pleasing tonal twinkle to proceedings and yes, you guessed it, static crackle that threads through the track like a poorly tuned interstellar comms system. It also sounds like the spaceship finally found a habitable planet with friendly lifeforms, verdant flora and breathable atmosphere, there's a real warmth and sense of contentment/relief (delete as applicable) permeating the track.
Start here and then head off for the full voyage if star gazing ambient sounds are your thing, or the order of the day.
