Memory Pearl is better known as Moshe Fisher-Rozenberg to his parents. He's also an accomplished multi-instrumentalist, producer, and man about Canadian music making town, with a fine line in vintage clothing and musical hardware, and a knack for bringing his sonic and sartorial predilections into the present.

The LP title alone would have been enough to get me to listen, but it's also his reimagining of a 1970's psychotherapy project involving LSD and classical, romantic music that was designed to take subjects on a cosmic journey of personal self discovery - far out!

If that wasn't enough my man Joseph Shabason makes an appearance on most of the tracks, adding his treated saxophone to the dreamy, transformative arrangements, so make sure you check the whole album. It's quite the trip, not just back in time but inwards and outwards too, or possibly all of them simultaneously if you double dosed. Vintage synths swirl, sometimes in epic fashion, loosening your grip on reality to help achieve a positive outcome. Real world instruments from a well chosen crew - including the also TSMM approved Sam Prekop, guide the acid-newbies along a safe course through the neural rewiring process. It's a really well crafted, unashamedly vintage electronic meets acoustic, consciousness raising affair.

My pick of the tracks is "Postlude", the closing track of the LP. It's the perfect return to earth after a trip or two around the neglected regions of your cerebral cortex. Its almost new age sensibility, gentle energy and piano blessed electronica helping ease you back to earth, although things might never be quite the same again.
